Rusty Lake

We are Rusty Lake:

Creators of the praised Cube Escape series and the premium point-and-click adventures Rusty Lake Hotel and award-winning Rusty Lake: Roots.

Dear visitor,

Welcome to Rusty Lake, a surreal place where anything can happen. We offer you the most mysterious game series you'll ever play.

Why not try out our praised Cube Escape series first? Let the cubes guide you the eerie and atmospheric point-and-click adventures with an "escape room" feeling. Currently we have ten Cube Escape games taking place in the Rusty Lake universe. Cube Escape: Paradox is our latest installment which is combined with a short film! Download them for ten on iOS, Android or play on Desktop.

Next to our Cube Escape series we created three premium adventure games with unique story lines taking place in Rusty Lake as well. Serve deadly dinners to five animal-headed guests in Rusty Lake Hotel, expand the bloodline of the Vanderbooms in our award-winning adventure Rusty Lake: Roots or stop the ten plagues on a small island in Rusty Lake Paradise.

On the right, you can find a list of all our games sorted by release date.

On our game portal you can play our free games but also find other adventure, room escape and puzzle games. We selected games with a fascinating story, ambiance or unique game-play made by more forward-looking developers.

Check out our blog, social media or newsletter for new updates and content.

We wish you a pleasant stay in Rusty Lake!

Just woke up to have my morning coffee and remembered that it’s Cube Escape release day. I immediately purchased it before logging in to work. Gotta support one of my favorite developers <3

I just purchased the collection! I’m so excited to see what the new achievements look like! Thank you for producing quality content; your games are inspiring!

  6. sk says:

Slightly sad you added achievements. This just distracts from the artistic value of these games. Not everything needs to be a skinner box.

  7. Nastya says:

I really like your games, even though I am from Russia. And when the update came out where now there are all Cube Escape games, I can now again and again rise to the Rusty lake and its secrets

  8. Demian says:

Will it be available on gog?

Love the new achievements! So much fun looking for clues throughout the games and seeing the little easter eggs. Kinda miss the old inventory sounds though. Some of those sound effect changes felt a little uncalled for.

In the youtube video trailer, there is a clip of an old lady knitting (0.21seconds). Which game is that clip from because I, surprisingly, do not recognize it. I believe I have played all the games, and I did recognize every other clip in the trailer. Please and Thank you.

The old lady knitting is from The Mill. You have to give her warm milk, roast duck, and baked fish in exchange for an oven mitt, a net, and a strong rope.

    Hi guys,
I‘m a new but glowing Rusty Lake Fan. Within the last 2 weeks, I first tried some of the free games, then bought everything there is to buy, and I‘m absolutely PLEASUREIZED!!!
What interests me: The influence of Twin Peaks is clearly visible and clearly pointed out by you. But what about cyanworlds? Did the Myst series have an impact on you? I‘m a cyan follower since early nineties, and I appreciate the „I feel at home“-moments happening again and again through the Rusty Lake games. Please continue this brilliant stuff! Cheerio Mike

Hello, Could you make a rusty lake game in teardown. That would be great. Teardown is voxel based physics game. Maybe you could do a colaboratiob with the teardown developers or something. Please answer.

I’m a big fan for years, I’ve got all your games and I can admit I’m addicted to them! I thought I had everything till I realised that I have missed the Paradox!
I’m in the chapter 2 now but sadly I’m facing a bug: the box on the chest of drawers that I need to arrange the cubs on the right position, doesn’t open. I started the Chapter all over again a couple of times, I’m even thinking to uninstall and re-install the game. I think there is a piece of the picture in there, without which I can’t move any further. Please help!

    Congratulations for the awesome work!
