Rusty Lake

We are Rusty Lake:

Creators of the praised Cube Escape series and the premium point-and-click adventures Rusty Lake Hotel and award-winning Rusty Lake: Roots.

Dear visitor,

Welcome to Rusty Lake, a surreal place where anything can happen. We offer you the most mysterious game series you'll ever play.

Why not try out our praised Cube Escape series first? Let the cubes guide you the eerie and atmospheric point-and-click adventures with an "escape room" feeling. Currently we have ten Cube Escape games taking place in the Rusty Lake universe. Cube Escape: Paradox is our latest installment which is combined with a short film! Download them for ten on iOS, Android or play on Desktop.

Next to our Cube Escape series we created three premium adventure games with unique story lines taking place in Rusty Lake as well. Serve deadly dinners to five animal-headed guests in Rusty Lake Hotel, expand the bloodline of the Vanderbooms in our award-winning adventure Rusty Lake: Roots or stop the ten plagues on a small island in Rusty Lake Paradise.

On the right, you can find a list of all our games sorted by release date.

On our game portal you can play our free games but also find other adventure, room escape and puzzle games. We selected games with a fascinating story, ambiance or unique game-play made by more forward-looking developers.

Check out our blog, social media or newsletter for new updates and content.

We wish you a pleasant stay in Rusty Lake!

Soundtrack of Cube Escape: Theatre

Soundtrack of Cube Escape: Theatre

Victor Butzelaar brings the ambiance and atmosphere of Cube Escape: Theatre to another level with his beautiful soundtrack. Buy or listen to it now on Bandcamp!

Bob Rafferty is still our number 1 voice actor, doing the incredible voices of Mr. Owl, Bob and the old man. He also helped us making the trailer! Infant Tyrone is still the powerful voice for Dale Vandermeer in the intro.

What is the music that plays during the Mr. Owl acts (the first and last)? I really like it and I believe it was also used at the very end of Rusty Lake Hotel.

    Thanks so much!!! 😀

Hi everybody! Can anyone help me ? I’m learning English but I don’t understand what Mr owl say and there are no subtitles on the trailer, I speak Spanish but I’m not good for listening .

Here’s what Mr. Owl says in the trailer:

Shakespeare once wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” But this is the theater of your mind. What acts will play out beneath these spotlights?

Poor Dale. A detective struggling to uncover the clues that will lead him to understand his past, his present, and his future.

Is everyone in? Let the plays begin!

    Thanks a lot!

Great job, great music, characters and settings, great story, you guys did a miracle! It was a long time I didn’t see such catching, mindblowing games, thank you!!:D I became addicted to cube escape a month ago (BIRTHDAY was the first I played) and now I can’t wait for the next cube escape episodes to be published. Downloading (today) Rusty Lake Hotel was the better way to give you a reward after all the entertaining hours of free game – and no need to say it is wonderful work… keep going on, and again: thank you!

  7. Julez says:

@Danial: I think so, too. The lady of the lake might have been her human form. After her death she became miss pheasant before she became a corruped soul afterwards…

    Cube Escape Theatre ?

Good time of the day! Could anybody help me? Where can I listen to the soundtrack of “Cube Escape: Harvey’s Box” (that blues is just exactly what I like) and also to the soundtrack of “Cube Escape: Arles”? I has literally looked everywhere for it, but with no results. Thank you :)))

My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP.
I have always disliked the idea because of the costs.

I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I
