Welcome to Rusty Lake, a surreal place where anything can happen. We offer you the most mysterious game series you'll ever play.
Why not try out our praised Cube Escape series first? Let the cubes guide you the eerie and atmospheric point-and-click adventures with an "escape room" feeling. Currently we have ten Cube Escape games taking place in the Rusty Lake universe. Cube Escape: Paradox is our latest installment which is combined with a short film! Download them for ten on iOS, Android or play on Desktop.
Next to our Cube Escape series we created three premium adventure games with unique story lines taking place in Rusty Lake as well. Serve deadly dinners to five animal-headed guests in Rusty Lake Hotel, expand the bloodline of the Vanderbooms in our award-winning adventure Rusty Lake: Roots or stop the ten plagues on a small island in Rusty Lake Paradise.
On the right, you can find a list of all our games sorted by release date.
On our game portal you can play our free games but also find other adventure, room escape and puzzle games. We selected games with a fascinating story, ambiance or unique game-play made by more forward-looking developers.

We wish you a pleasant stay in Rusty Lake!
Hi Guys, it’s almost time to meet the guests and staff of the Rusty Lake Hotel!
A quick reminder for the people who didn’t already know: Rusty Lake Hotel is our first premium game. We will set the price of the iOS, Android and Desktop* version to $ 1,99 / € 1,99 (depends on the VAT per country). That’s about the same price for a beer at the bar nowadays:) We hope the sales will bring more to the table than the ads, which we currently used. We hope to generate some income for the next months so we can keep working fulltime on new Rusty Lake projects!
For some of you it might be a disappointment, because our Cube Escape series were free to play. We explained our direction 3 months ago and we’re planning to continue the “free” Cube Escape franchise after this project.
But after putting so much effort into the art, puzzles, music and all the extra’s, we’re sure it will be worth your pennies. It’s becoming our biggest project so far and it will be great addition to the Rusty Lake Story! Did we already tell you it’s about 3 times as big as a normal Cube Escape? And that there will be several connections with the Cube Escape storyline? That there will be extra replay value? You might play it multiple times because we have added a lot of easter eggs in it:)
If you’re not sure yet, you can also wait for the demo version, containing just 1 room/level. This teaser will be launched on the website (and Kongregate/Newgrounds/Gamejolt) plus mobile shortly after the launch of the full version.
Thanks for waiting and the great support! We want to have some contests to give away coupons to download the game for free…
So stay tuned, keep following us on our blog, social media and mailing list.
Ps. do you want to promote Rusty Lake Hotel on your blog/news site or anything press related? Please contact us so we can provide you with more data.
*For the desktop version we’re planning to sell through itch.io, a market place for indie games. We might put it on Steam Greenlight as well (we shall need your vote then).
Really looking forward to Rusty Lake Hotel! I love your cube games and having a more intricate multi-play game from such creative people will be a pleasure.
Really good news to see there will be a deskop version of your game.
Can’t wait to see it =)
Will definitely vote for Greenlight on Steam. You guys are one of the best game makers out there.
I’m really looking forward to this one. I’ve been checking here often to find out when it is released.
Have not been released by now……….
So glad to see Mr. Crow again!
Can’t wait any more! Please release it asap!!!!
If you put it up on steam I will definitely vote you up and I know some friends that love these games to, so I know they can help.
You’ve got my vote if you put it on Steam Greenlight. I’ve really enjoyed the Cube Escape series.
